Arts & Crafts

For generations, artists, designers, writers and musicians have all been inspired by our beautiful coastline, chalk downs, stunning countryside, smugglers' alleyways, historical heritage and nautical charisma.

Here, we have a lively arts scene with a host of independent galleries, exhibitions, workshops, and events.

Painting, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, sculpture, photography, contemporary arts & craft or vintage...we have it all in White Cliffs Country. There is so much talent!

We have added a few links to help you find out all that's going on locally in the Arts and Craft world of creativity!

Banksy Mural

Come and see the new piece of artwork in Dover by the famous graffiti artist, Banksy. The mural appeared on Sunday 8 May 2017 and can be easily seen from the A20 as you approach The Port of Dover, but please do park nearby in the town and take a closer look. It must be one of the most photographed attractions in Dover at the moment, alongside the White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle! And if you take a selfie or snapshot we'd love to see it on social media - share with us on Twitter (@VisitDover - White Cliffs Country) and Instagram (VisitDover).
