Split the Lark is a group of people dedicated to stimulating,
promoting and invigorating the growing interest in poetry and
creative writing as a valuable means of communication. We encourage
young & old, beginners & advanced, able-bodied &
disabled to perform their work alongside professional poets and
offer them friendly support and advice. We organize readings by
acclaimed poets; run competitions with prizes that reward and
encourage the development of poetry skills. We also provide high
quality workshops and readings (by published poets dedicated to the
revival of poetry), for primary schools that aim to increase
childrens poetry skills and help them to develop their innate
creativity.
