Join the Wild About Gardens Team for a fantastic family day out with something for everyone to enjoy. Be inspired by guided walks that offer opportunities to discover the gardens and ways to support wildlife in your own spaces. The walks will take place at 11.30am and 2.00pm – you don’t need to book but places will be limited.
The team will be on hand to answer questions and offer tips for sustainable gardening without the three ‘P’s – plastic, peat, pesticides; how to create your own mini pond, learn about bumblebees and other pollinators. With representatives from Bumblebee Conservation Trust, Kent’s Bat Group and the Kent Mammal Group, you will get to see a hedgehog and a bat up close. The Wild About Gardens team has prepared plenty of fun, nature-friendly activities.
