One-to-one classes are also available.
Tai chi is often described as 'meditation in motion' and there is growing evidence that this mind-body practice, which originated in China as a martial art, has value in treating or preventing many health problems. It is a low-impact, slow-motion exercise where you move and breathe deeply and naturally, focusing your attention on bodily sensations. The practice can be easily adapted for anyone, from the most fit to people confined to wheelchairs or recovering from surgery.
Beach Tai Chi sessions begin by meeting at Deal Pier followed by a short talk to the beach for a qigong or tai chi session.
Option 1 - you will be taught the wonderful Health Qigong® Stick Form involving movements that mimic rowing, towing and punting boats.
Option 2 - a short tai chi sequence and meditation. The experience is for 8 people maximum so everyone has the chance to have the best experience possible.
Opening times: by arrangement throughout the year. Contact Gill to book.
See the Bright Moon website for details of regular classes, special workshops and more.
