A Nation of Animal Lovers?
As the RSPCA celebrates its 200th anniversary, Dover Museum looks at the British obsession with and love of animals, and the importance they have had in so many aspects of our lives over the centuries and today.
Animals have their place as pets, working animals and as part of our daily lives and hobbies. The care of our animals is also very important to us as can be seen by the growing number of organisations set up to help with animal welfare.
In this exhibition we look at the evidence that Britain truly is a nation of animal lovers and that animals really are everywhere!
