This is a fantastic opportunity to spend time in the tranquil gardens of Goodnestone Park in the heart of South East Kent and make something wonderful out of wood.

Hannah from Natural Pathways will teach you how to make your own unique hiking staff or walking stick to value and use for a lifetime.

During this one day practical event you will be given the tools and guidance of how to make the most of your staff, stick or crook. Choose from various seasoned wood (including hazel, ash or maple), and decide on the length, width and design.

Learn how to:

  • strip and shape the seasoned wood correctly
  • safely use the tools (all materials provided)
  • carve, wax or varnish your staff.

Suitable for adults and children aged 8+.
