Following a successful pilot scheme launched in spring 2021, Dover District Council has commissioned a second series of practical, interactive business support workshops for tourism and hospitality businesses in Deal, Dover, Sandwich and beyond. The new and advanced BrandBooster online workshops will support tourism and hospitality businesses following the Coronavirus pandemic to survive and thrive for all-year-round tourism.
The advanced online workshops, from award-winning Kent-based marketing consultancy, Keep Your Fork, are designed to help local businesses maximise their potential at this critical time, as the tourism, leisure and hospitality industry continues to recover from the effects of Covid-19. Focused, fun and packed with immediately implementable how-to tips, the courses will be delivered by PR expert Faye Smith and Deal digital marketing specialist Lindsey Reynolds and begin on Wednesday 6th October.

Roger Walton, Dover District Council’s Strategic Director (Operations & Commercial) said: “We are delighted to have confirmed a second, more advanced series of workshops from Keep Your Fork for this autumn, following very positive feedback from the pilot scheme launched earlier this year. The local tourism and visitor economy is recognised as one of Dover District’s most important assets and providing this opportunity in October affirms our support to all-year-round tourism as the industry continues to recover from the effects of the pandemic.”
Workshops are available to book now via the eventbrite links on the "Skills, Events & Training" page of the Industry Hub on the White Cliffs Country website. To enable bespoke participant advice and interaction, places are limited to a maximum of 12 people per workshop.
Feedback from businesses who took part in the pilot scheme in Spring 2021:
“Faye is an excellent, motivational speaker who incites confidence to have a go at putting into practise what was discussed. Some online training can be rather dull, but you certainly could not say this of Faye’s workshop. She encourages confidence and enthusiasm. 10/10.”
“It was great being able to access the webinar online to save travelling. Lunchtime and morning sessions are great.”
“The webinar format was perfect.”
“Loads of insight and tips. It also prompted me in new ways to think about our wider marketing efforts.”
