Showcasing a series of entries from the National Historic Ships UK photography competition.

Since 2010, this competition has celebrated maritime heritage through stunning imagery, capturing the beauty and significance of historic vessels. The competition is part of a broader awards programme recognising volunteer achievement, excellence in conservation, skills development and historic vessel outreach. Awards are announced in November and an exhibition featuring the previous year’s winners is hosted annually at the Historic Dockyard Chatham.

NHS-UK maintains the National Register of Historic Vessels, which lists over 1,500 significant craft, and manages the Shipshape Network, set up to encourage the regeneration of traditional maritime skills.
